Vanessa Cerbini, Veterinary Technician
Veterinary Technician

Vanessa Cerbini

Vanessa’s career in veterinary medicine began in the fast-paced world of small animal emergency care, laying a strong foundation for their true passion: unique and exotic species. She spent three years in wildlife rehabilitation in Georgia before dedicating the last two years to specialized exotic medicine. Driven by a deep commitment to advocating for patients who cannot speak for themselves, Vanessa ultimately dreams of bringing their skills to big cats and African wildlife conservation.

At home, they care for four rescued cats from a previous clinic and are currently awaiting a skunk permit! When not advocating for their patients, Vanessa expresses their creativity through painting and playing the guitar.

Melina Ray is a dedicated Veterinary Assistant with over 15 years of experience working with animals in South Florida. Passionate about animal welfare, she has fostered and rescued hundreds of animals, including cats, dogs, rabbits, and birds.

Melina is actively involved in community TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) programs for cats and is a devoted neonatal and medical foster, providing specialized care for vulnerable animals in need. She is also certified by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) as a wildlife foster rehabilitator, with a focus on mammals.

Outside of her professional work, Melina finds joy in spending time with her family and the many animals who are such an important part of her life — including Raider Ray, her beloved and licensed pet raccoon.
